Tradition in Retrospect

So over a Starbucks drink and a good book, I have decided it is time to update you all on some great news. My best friend, Aaron Resendez, will be my Best Man. Now, I know what many of you are thinking, "What????". So here is my reasoning: One of the great things about Bess and I is that we are very traditional women, but we are two brides having a wedding. While traditionally a groom has groomsmen and a Best man, we felt that there is no need to leave all the important men in our life out of the most important day of our lives. So we have decided to both have people closest to us on both sides of the altar.

With that being said, I have the great pleasure of announcing my first bridal party member. Over lunch today (provided by my best friend), I was able to ask Aaron if he would serve as my Best Man. He was excited and said yes, but even more excited when he knew he was one of the people that would be able to plan my Bachelorette Party. Uh oh, things are going to get crazy!

So for those of you out there in Blogland, let me share with you a little bit about Aaron and our friendship. Aaron and I met in the Fall of 2008, due to the fact that we both were actively involved on campus, we were bound to be friends. We were lucky enough to experience Greek Life together and become members of our respective sorority and fraternity. Following that initial semester, we have served in Student Congress together and even had the advantage to share an office together. :) We have been through hard times, laughs and cries together and always rely on each other in times of need. I feel very blessed to have such an amazing best friend who has become, to me, a member of my family.

Don't worry there are many other members of the Bridal Party that we have not announced and that info will be coming soon.

To be continued...

Marcia
